I know we just travelled like about 1/10 of Negros but that 1 part is already a good experience for me. We get to visit Dumaguete City, Dauin and its crystal clear beaches, and The Forest Camp in Valencia. We also enjoyed the cool breeze of the province, and the lesser stress-feels in the city. It's like a peacful paradise with the city feels.
You wouldn't think that because Negros is no that most likely to be known but the delicacies, the place itself and, the simplicity is what makes Dumaguete (or Negros) Dumaguete.
Day 1
Going to Dumaguete from Cebu, we head to the south specifically Lilo-an. It was a 5 hour roadtrip. There, we directly head for the Lilo-an port. Due to the peak season, we waited for 3 and a half hours in the port due to the long line for the roro. The ride on the roro took about 45 min. from Lilo-an port to Sibulan Port.
AND YES! Touched down. Arriving in Sibulan port, we directly head to our hotel for the night. Hotel Palwa. We rested there for a while because we were exhausted from the trip. The hotel had a very soothing ambiance and the hotel guests where very friendly. At 4:30, we headed for the boulevard where we were surprised that there were many people selling streetfoods. Varities of it are fishball, tempura, siomai, and many. We stuffed ourselves there at a very affordable price. At the boulevard you can enjoy the pics, you can buy Sans Rival at the Sans Rival Bistro, and there are several restaurants available there.
Day 2
Finally Day 2! We started the day early. Checked out from the hotel at 7AM then started going to Dauin first. Along the way there are various foods that you can buy. Before going to The Forest Camp, we visited one public beach in Dauin and I can really say it's different from other piblic beaches. You can really compare it to others here in Cebu. We stayed there for only a little time then headed already to The Forest Camp. Arriving their, you can really see greens and lots of trees. There are a lot of pools there and you can also visit the river and do rock balancing (I really enjoyed the rock balancing), you can also go trekking there and they there was a badminton court so yeah; but there are PROs and CONs. PROs: Nature doing it's work ; Cool Water ; Fresh Breeze. CONs: Too many people so not that peaceful ; I don't really like the attitude of the staff ; No WiFi ; No Signal ; A bit creepy at night
Day 3
With our trip coming to an end, We took some picture together at Valencia.(ofc with fam) Then going back to Cebu, we rode a gain the roro to Lilo-an port. We also visited Oslob for a while and Got inside the Church and ruins. Locals are there to sell some refreshments so that's a good thing. There also many tourists in Oslob especially Korean (time to find your oppa). Then after it, HOME SWEET HOME!
