SUMMER-ENDER TO THE SOUTH

With summer coming to an end, we all know that we want a last runaway before going back to our normal lives. With this, my friends and I decided to go to a "planned" trip to hike to Osmeña Peak and cool off at Hidden Valley Resort.

So waking up at 3:30, I directly got ready by grooming up myself and then go since all my things were ready. At around 4:30, I arrived to our meeting place at one of my friends house. We waited for everything to be fine and head to our destination at 5:30

Don't mind that hahaha
Lol! Result of waking up at 2 in the morning

Finally we arrived at our first destination. It was a 2-hour trip from Cebu City to Dalaguete. Not even arriving at the peak, you can already enjoy a good view of the mountains and it gets better when you go higher. There's an entrance fee of 30 pesos per person (probably for environment fee). You need to hike for about 20-30 minutes to reach the top and I can say that it will all be worth it when you arrive. You'll enjoy the good view, cool breeze, and the feeling that you actually climbed it (even though its not hard). If you get tired along the way there is a local there who are selling beverages but its a bit pricy than in the city. Also, the vendors of vegetables at the place sells various of vegetables that are very cheap as low as 3 for 10 pesos.

From Osmeña Peak, it was also a 2 and a half hour going to Hidden Valley Resort. From the name, the resort is really somewhat within near a valley and also from the resort, you can see a waterfalls (but I don't know how to reach it there since we were only limited to the pool area). Parking space is available and there are stores there such as souvenir shop, coffee shop, and a sari-sari store with a karaoke to kill off time. The wave pool does the wave for approximately every hour for 10 minutes.

The entrance fee for the resort is 150 pesos plus 5 pesos for environment fee

So If ever you have a plan on visiting these 2 places, give it try. The important thing is you enjoyed every single moment of your travel with your family, friends, relatives, or anyone that will come with you.
