S-U-M-M-E-R. The time of the year where people go to beaches, mountains, or everywhere where they can relax, have fun, and take a break from the past time and just enjoy the heat of the sun. But there are some cases that we might want to enjoy summer season but we are out of budget. Budget will always be a problem to people who are planning on going all in for summer especially students.
In my case, I will never miss the summer vibes even with the budget cut I have... 1,000 Pesos. You read it right, Php1,000. With this amount of money it already brought me to one of the beautiful islands in the Philippines, Bantayan Island.
Note: I won't go much with the mathematical details for this series since it very much budget and I can't give much details on costing. I'll make another post when I can go back there. I'll just show in this blog post how I managed to budget my 1,000 pesos.

DAY 1
From Cebu, we had a 4-hour land trip from the North Bus Terminal to Hagnaya Port. Then we beard a ferry from Hagnaya Port to Sta. Fe, Bantayan. (My suggestion to students is you bring your I.D.s since the bus and ferry will give discounts for students and senior citizens.) Upon arrival, we rode a tricycle from the port to where would stay in Pooc, Sta. Fe. which was sponsored by Brix's family.
The main transportation in the island are tricycles but you can rent bicycles and motorcycles from some of the residents in the island. Actually, I learned how to ride a bike there and that is something I'm proud of Haha.
We experienced the cliff diving there and at night we had the opportunity to set-up a tent since Brix has some relatives which has a place near the shore.
DAY 2
It is great that you wake up early at 5 especially when you are on the shore. You can see a great scenery of the sunrise and the low tide of beach. Also if you are lucky, you can spot some vendors who are selling fresh scallops at 25 per plastic which is already a lot. After getting ready, we rented bicycles that we used to go to Sta. Fe's center. Also, I was struggling to learn the bicycle but I managed to learn it. And a bit less happened as the day comes to an end.
DAY 3
As our final day in the island, we visited the church in Bantayan Proper and attended the mass. After we had a bit of photoshoot at the plaza just in front of the church. And after we came back to Sta. Fe for a quick lunch then get ourselves ready to go home.It was a struggle going home since there were a lot of passengers who would ride the ferry. Also, upon arrival at Hagnaya, we waited for 4 hours just for the bus to arrive. Nonetheless, it was a great experience
